What We Believe

We are simply Christians, seeking to follow the New Testament pattern of faith.

Our goal is to glorify God, proclaim Christ, and walk in the Spirit as revealed in His Word.

The Bible
We believe the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16–17),

complete and sufficient to guide us in all matters of faith and godliness.

God
We believe in the one true and living God who reveals Himself

as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

​

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the Son of God, who came to earth, lived a sinless life,

died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1–4).

He now reigns at the right hand of God and will one day

return to judge the world (Acts 1:9–11; 2 Corinthians 5:10).

Salvation
We believe salvation is by God’s grace through obedient faith (Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 5:9).

According to Scripture, one receives salvation by:

​

     • HEARING the gospel (Romans 10:17)

     • BELIEVING in Jesus Christ (John 8:24)

     • REPENTING of sin (Acts 17:30)

     • CONFESSING faith in Christ (Romans 10:9–10)

     • Being BAPTIZED into Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Galatians 3:27)

     • Remaining FAITHFUL unto death (Revelation 2:10)

The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22–23),

made up of all who have obeyed the gospel.

We strive to be Christians only, wearing no name but Christ’ (Acts 11:26).

Worship
We believe our worship must be in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

In following the New Testament pattern, we assemble every Sunday (Acts 20:7) to:

​

     • Partake of the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23–26)

     • Pray (Acts 2:42)   • Sing (Ephesians 5:19)

     • Give as we have prospered (1 Corinthians 16:1–2)

     • Hear the Word of God preached (2 Timothy 4:2)

Christian Living
We believe Christians are called to holiness, love, and good works (Titus 2:11–14),

to shine as lights in the world, and to live faithfully until Christ returns (Matthew 5:14–16).
